The trail I like to take through Peoples State Forest is a 4.2 mile out-and-back with a 536 foot ascent that takes about 1:45 to complete. I honestly think it’s one of the best views to be had in Connecticut. I only recorded my route up, so you can double the numbers below.

Keep your eyes on the Mountain Laurels around your house in the spring. These seem to hit peak about one week after the one in my yard.
